About Live Oak Singers

• The Live Oak Singers is an LGBTQ+ and Friends Chorus. Individuals come from various backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. We all share a common goal of building bridges through music!
• We are a four-part harmony chorus (SATB). All voices are welcome to join! Your vocal range will determine typically as part of your initial voicing/audition with our Artistic Director. This is based on ability, not by a person’s gender as with most other choirs.
• As members we all support our chorus. One way that this is done is through the payment of seasonal or month dues. This is obviously  important it contributes to our ticket sales, merchandise, and fundraising efforts they help pay for the expenses of the organization.  Expenses include (but are not limited to) rental space, purchase of music, liability and board insurance(s), production of our shows, contractors and more.
• Scholarships are available if you have the need and would like to sing with us. Please don’t let finances keep you from joining in! (Interested in a scholarship, click here and complete the Scholarship Request Form.
